Welcome everyone to the end of an exciting Football season. I would firstly like to thank each and every one of you for the support you have given the club.
Firstly, our valued sponsors – Church of God E.A Kenya Kangemi and the Youth ministriy who has been our sponsor for the last two years, and our valued …… thank you for your support.
I would like to thank our hard working committee, Johnstone Etale, Patrick Ndombi, Jackson Oriedo, Melkzedek Tambachi, Dennis Omido, Donald De Ndombi, Washngton Olukalie and Mark Ashikhuve.
Thank you also to our KFC coordinators, our team manager and of course our fun and professional coaches, led by Coach . Thank you to the Loresho Primary and Uthiru primary who set up the fields.
A big thank you also goes to the parents who have kids in KFC for driving the kids to training and matches, but the most important people to thank are our players. Our boys who choose to represent Kangemi church of God and proudly wear our uniforms every weekend we had a match representing the church and our kangemi community. Thank you all for making this club so special!
This club is more than just a football club - it is a church thus focusing on winning souls through sports. Thank you for giving us opportunity to stand with the club and making us participate in Westlands CDF wanyonyi cup, this club aims to provide a football solution for every church member and the sorrounding community no matter what their skill level is, what school they go to or where they live. It is about having fun, making friends, enjoying football and winning souls through sports.
This has been a rebuilding year for the club with strong committee and the integration of the evangelism .The committee has been working very hard behind the scenes which you may not know everything and it was always looking for people to lend a hand and help make our club even better. Whether it is being a manager, captain, any committee member or a sponsor which is our kangemi church … or even just helping out on a specific task, we welcome you if you want to help out.
The Challenges Our KFC players who plays and trains only on Sunday need to get a better commitment when it comes to practices.
Some of our players don't take trainings seroiusily which has affected team negatively. Some players should take their football very seriously and compete at the highest level possible.
KFC in partnership with the church is working very hard to ensure that we cater to each one of the players and we have a number of initiatives planned to ensure we do next year.
The Vision Our vision is to make KFC a club for all players and bring back some of our old members who had stopped coming to church.
One of the initiatives we are working on for next year is looking at options for our younger players whom we want them to nature their talents . We are working on a closer alignment with most able people who will help the club to move to another level.
We are looking to standardise our coaching and secure a coaching director who will work to provide a better program for both our social players as well as the competitive ones. Finally we need you - our parents (Kangemi church of God) and players - to be our advocates and tell your friends and family about KFC and the positive changes we are making. We are all very passionate about the club and want you all to be part of it and as passionate as us.
Thank you very much and May the almighty God bless you as you celebrate merry Christmas and happy New Year 2020
